You know what the problem is with this world? We say those 3 words too much without really meaning them. We take things and people for granted because we think we won’t lose them. And then when we do, we feel crushed and almost heartbroken that we lost the very thing that we never imagined we would.

Don’t say goodbye and mean it. Because that means you’re never going to say ‘hello’ again, and I can’t handle that. I can’t handle the pain of losing you or of missing you. I can’t live with the thought that I had everything I ever wanted or needed, and then I lost it all over something that probably didn’t even matter. I can’t live without hearing your voice, feeling your kiss or the warmth of your hug. The way you make everything seem right when everything’s wrong or give me advice that I feel could change my life. But mostly? I can’t live without you.

Don’t say you’ll be there for me no matter what. Why? Because I’ll believe you and when you’re not I’ll just be let down. I’ll kid myself I can count and rely on you when things go wrong and then just feel crushed when you’re not their to help me through them. I’ll live by the fact that nothing can ever be that bad as long as I have you, but then you won’t be there and I’ll just feel alone and almost heartbroken that I thought I could trust someone and then having that trust broke down. I won’t have you to tell my problems to or be the one that comes to you for help about anything. And then I’ll just go back to crying myself to sleep every night and feeling so alone again. That’s why.

It’s weird. I mean, yeah, I miss you, but it’s so much more than that. I miss the way my heart just stops at the sight of you and your smile, but the sad part is, it’s not just your smile I’m missing. It’s mine too.
